description

the brief was to design a 'speakeasy.' on two different levels, the basement was designed as a beer cellar with wooden tables and benches with floor to ceiling dark wood panelling. attached to this was a cellar complete with burnt brick floors and rough cement walls to emphasize the rustic context of the space.

the first floor was designed to host a relaxed clientele. comfortable armchairs, leather sofas and bookshelves were added to evoke an atmosphere of familiarity and warmth.
